Brown & Brown is seeking an Employee Benefits Compliance Consultant to join our growing team! This individual will be the primary point of contact and support for the Brown & Brown offices within their assigned purview. This role will assist with advising and training Brown & Brown teammates in the areas of regulatory and legislative strategy related to employer health plans and directly assist customers and prospective customers of Brown & Brown in a consultative role. How You Will Contribute: Operationalizing the compliance journey via leverage of BAM and other project management tools or white glove support to ensure proactive and consistent delivery of critical regulatory and legislative strategy deadlines, filings, and communications. Serve as the primary conduit between the Regulatory/Legislative (Reg/Leg) team and Brown & Brown offices as assigned. Communicate updates, guidance, and interpretations developed by the Reg/Leg team to assigned offices in a timely and accessible manner. Work closely with the Reg/Leg team on training non-Regulatory & Legislative Strategy teammates, including local office service and production teammates and local/regional office compliance teammates. Stay abreast of any newly released laws, rules, and regulations related to health and welfare benefit laws. Stay apprised of the tools and resources available from the Reg/Leg team and leverage them with teammates and customers as appropriate. Maintain a strong understanding of the full range of Brown & Brown resources, tools, and subject matter experts. Effectively identify when and how to leverage these assets to support customer needs. On a daily basis, respond to Brown & Brown teammate questions coming from the offices within the assigned region. Triage complex questions to the Reg/Leg team when appropriate and ensure that a timely response is provided to the customer. Contribute to articles/guides related to the laws, rules, and regulations that apply to health and welfare benefit plans for customers. Contribute to creating compliance presentations related to the laws, rules, and regulations that apply to health and welfare benefit plans for internal teammates, customers, prospective customers, and employer groups and present on those topics. Collaborate with other departments including the population health and wellness team, pharmacy team, SNS, actuarial team, operations teams, communications, marketing, and any other stakeholders the Reg/Leg team works with internally at Brown & Brown. Participate in new business opportunities/finalist meetings and Compliance Reviews within assigned territory as requested. Gather insights and questions from regional offices to help improve the Reg/Leg team's ongoing analysis and communication strategies with teammates/customers/prospects. Licenses and Certifications Life, Health, and Annuity License (within six (6) months of employment). S kills & Experience to Be Successful: 3 + years of applicable employee benefits compliance experience. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Entrepreneurial and hands-on attitude, self-starter. Interpersonal skills - the individual maintains confidentiality, remains open to others' ideas and exhibits willingness to take on new projects and has a growth mindset. Ability to manage workflow and able to communicate with the Reg/Leg team when they need assistance . This position may require routine or periodic travel which may require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle. If required, acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are requirements of this position. #LI-AFZ Pay Range $100,000 - $180,000 Annual The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
