Principales responsabilites et activites :

  • Preparer le calcul periodique des exigences de suffisance du capital reglementaire (ESCAP) et levaluation des besoins futurs en capital.
  • Collaborer en temps opportun a la mise en uvre des changements relatifs aux exigences de suffisance du capital reglementaire.
  • Elaborer les projections financieres pour lexamen de situation financiere (ESF) et collaborer a lanalyse et a la production des rapports.
  • Aider a levaluation des nouvelles affaires quant au capital reglementaire.
  • Soutenir les travaux de verifications internes et externes liees aux calculs de capital reglementaire.
  • Participer a la preparation des etats financiers et autres rapports actuariels, y compris le calcul des passifs actuariels des polices conformement a IFRS 17.
  • Produire la documentation des projets et assurer lintegrite des hypotheses utilisees dans les modeles.
  • Aider avec des demandes supplementaires au besoin.

Exigences :

  • Baccalaureat en sciences actuarielles ou en mathematiques.
  • Au moins deux ans dexperience dans lindustrie de lassurance.
  • Minimum de cinq examens de la Societe des actuaires.
  • Solides connaissances et interet pour linformatique et les logiciels.
  • Experience dans lindustrie de la reassurance, un atout.
  • Connaissance du logiciel AXIS, un atout.

  • La maitrise du francais et de langlais a loral comme a lecrit est requise en raison de la necessite de communiquer verbalement et par ecrit avec les intervenants du projet, principalement anglophones, qui sont situes en dehors du Quebec.

Reporting to the Assistant Actuary, Valuation, the candidate assumes administrative and corporate duties in order to meet the departmental objectives.

Key Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Prepare the periodic calculation of the regulatory capital (LICAT) requirements and the assessment of future capital needs.
  • Collaborate to the implementation of changes in regulatory capital requirements on a timely basis.
  • Produce the financial projections for the Financial Condition Testing (FCT) and collaborate with the analysis and production of reports.
  • Assist in the assessment of the impacts of new business on regulatory capital.
  • Support internal and external audits related to regulatory capital calculations.
  • Participate in the preparation of the financial statements and other actuarial reports including the calculation of actuarial liabilities of the policies according to IFRS17.
  • Produce documentation of projects and ensure integrity of assumptions used in models.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in actuarial or in mathematics.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in the insurance industry.
  • Minimum of five exams of the Society of Actuaries.
  • Strong knowledge and interest in computer science & software.
  • Experience in the reinsurance industry, an asset.
  • Knowledge of the AXIS software, an asset.

  • Experience working independently and in an environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration is essential.
  • Ability to work within changing priorities, demands and timelines.
  • Solid technical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Sense of organization and attention to details.
  • Bilingual French/English (oral and written) is required given the need to communicate orally and in writing with predominantly English-speaking project
  • stakeholders based outside of Quebec.

Compensation Range:

$79,500.00 - $99,350.00 Annual

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
