Insurance / Reinsurance Business Solutions Analyst

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Insurance / Reinsurance Business Solutions Analyst for a hybrid position with a Global Reinsurance Company located in Warren, NJ. This is a 6 month contract opportunity. The client strongly prefers local candidates who are able to work in a hybrid capacity, however remote candidates will also be considered. This role will support a Reinsurance Administration application that provides a comprehensive solution across the full reinsurance lifecycle, including Underwriting, Claims, and Accounting. The analyst will act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and IT, responsible for gathering requirements, documenting functional specifications, and managing the enhancement backlog in JIRA. Responsibilities: Perform Business Analyst responsibilities for a Reinsurance Administration application

Gather requirements and document Functional Specifications and User Interface documentation

Document as-is business processes using Microsoft Visio

Define and document to-be business processes

Act as the liaison between Business and IT

Collaborate with internal teams for analyzing cross-functional impacts and defining integration requirements

Provide support for QA testing and User Acceptance testing and defect resolution

Manage the backlog of enhancement requests in JIRA and work with Business to prioritize enhancements

Requirements: A minimum of 5 years Business Analyst experience

A minimum of 3 years working in Reinsurance, with solid Reinsurance Underwriting and/or Reinsurance Claims Business Acumen (Property & Casualty Insurance experience will be considered)

Demonstrated experience in gathering, documenting, and prioritizing requirements

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment

Strong attention to detail

Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders

Strong presentation skills

Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines

Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders on large initiatives

Desired skills: Experience with the DXC SICS Application is a plus

Pay range: $65 - $70 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
