Head of Reinsurance (Medical StopLoss & Provider Risk) A fastgrowing, venturebacked healthcare technology company is building a medical stoploss and reinsurance platform for valuebased care - and is hiring a Head of Reinsurance to lead that effort. This is a senior, commercial role with real ownership. The focus is on originating, structuring, and placing medical stoploss and reinsurance programs for riskbearing healthcare organizations. What you'll do Own and scale a stoploss and reinsurance business from the ground up Originate and place reinsurance programs for ACOs, provider groups, captives, and other providerled risk entities Lead relationships with reinsurers, carriers, and underwriting partners Structure and negotiate programs (attachment points, capacity, quota share, terms, etc.) Partner closely with actuarial, finance, product, and distribution teams to bring programs to market Act as the primary marketfacing leader translating carrier and reinsurer feedback into scalable products This role is a strong fit if you Have 10+ years of experience in medical stoploss, reinsurance, or specialty insurance Have personally sold, placed, or originated stoploss or reinsurance programs Bring an established network across carriers and/or reinsurers Are commercially driven and comfortable building something new rather than inheriting a legacy book Understand provider risk, healthcare economics, or valuebased care (or are excited to deepen that expertise)
