Senior Insurance Advisor – Real Estate Risk Specialist

Voss also provides tailored employee benefits solutions to small to medium sized companies.We are expanding our footprint in the real estate insurance space and are actively seeking a senior insurance professional with a strong focus on real estate—especially multifamily and investment property clients—to help lead and build this specialized practice.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Insurance Agent with deep experience in real estate insurance, especially for multifamily, single-family rentals, and development projects. The ideal candidate is an independent agent or agency owner who knows how to shop multiple carriers, deliver competitive quotes quickly, and provide excellent client service.

This role is ideal for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, strong market relationships, and a track record of responsiveness and client retention. You’ll work closely with real estate investors, developers, and property managers—delivering tailored insurance solutions while building and leading this niche vertical within our firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and grow Voss’s Real Estate Insurance practice, focused on:

  • Multifamily properties

  • Rental portfolios (SFR, STRs, student housing)

  • New construction and development (builders risk, course of construction)

  • Commercial real estate (retail, industrial, office)

  • Vacant land and liability coverage

• Access and work with multiple carriers to shop and compare quotes, ensuring clients receive competitive pricing and strong coverage options

• Deliver rapid turnaround times for proposals, binders, and client service requests

• Provide responsive, white-glove service to real estate investors, developers, and property managers

• Build and manage referral relationships with real estate agents, lenders, CPAs, attorneys, and developers

• Coordinate with internal teams for cross-selling into financial planning, business solutions, and employee benefits

• Attend strategy and team meetings onsite in our Plano, TX office

Qualifications:

• Active Property & Casualty License in Texas

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in the insurance industry with a deep focus on real estate risks

• Strong network of carrier relationships and ability to quote quickly across multiple markets

• Proven expertise working with multifamily and investment property clients

• Experience as an independent agent or agency owner is preferred

• Deep understanding of commercial package policies, umbrella, builder’s risk, flood, and liability

• Customer-first mindset with fast, professional communication style

• Local to the Dallas-Fort Worth area and able to work in-person in Plano
