iHire Product Update – May 2025
What’s new at iHire? Following our iHire360 product announcement in April, we’ve been working on various optimizations to our AI-powered tools including our Job Ad Builder.
We’ve also added AI-driven candidate summaries to Resume Search and enhanced our search filters to help employers more easily identify candidates willing to relocate. Read on for the scoop on this month’s iHire product updates.
New AI-Powered Candidate Summaries in Resume Search
Resume Search now provides AI-powered candidate summaries, giving you a quick overview of the candidate’s qualifications including years of experience and relevant roles. This helps employers quickly determine if they want to unlock a resume and learn more about a candidate.
Similarly, we’ve updated the applicant summary section employers see when viewing those who’ve applied for their job. The new summary section, driven by AI, includes a brief description of the candidate’s qualifications. It also calls out matching and missing skills from their resume using visual indicators to help employers quickly gauge the applicant’s fit.

AI-Powered Job Ad Builder Improvements
We are continuously improving our AI-powered Job Ad Builder to empower employers to generate postings that attract the right talent with minimal effort.
Most notably with this update, employers who use the tool to build upon an existing job description can now select the option, “Optimize with Best Practices.” iHire’s AI will apply proven job ad writing and formatting strategies to create a high-quality job ad without the employer needing to generate the post from scratch.
Users will also notice some subtle changes to the builder, such as the ability to show and hide the skills AI is incorporating in the ad (under the “Add Job Skills” section).

Clarity Around Candidate Relocation Preferences
Lastly, iHire has updated Resume Search to provide additional clarity around candidates’ job location preferences, allowing employers to more easily find talent willing to relocate.
When searching for candidates, employers will now see a magnifying glass instead of an airplane next to the tag, “Also looking for jobs in your area.” This reduces the implication that the candidate is willing to relocate, as some job seekers may simply be interested in remote jobs in the employer’s area or are open to commuting.
Further, we’ve fine-tuned our relocation filters to ensure candidates who are actually willing to relocate – versus those looking for remote opportunities or commutable jobs – show up in search results.
