POSITION SUMMARY:

HUB International is seeking to add a Lead Client Manager to oversee their Client Manager team within the Construction Pillar of the business! The Lead Client Manager supervise, mentor and direct Client Managers within their assigned pillar to ensure HUB procedures and service standards are met while acting as subject matter experts and situation resolution resources for their team. The Lead Client Manager will also manage assigned accounts to ensure profitability and a high level of retention, as well as develop and maintain proactive communications with clients and HUB associates with a focus on excellent customer service and teamwork.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Deliver performance feedback and mentorship on a regular basis to each Client Manager including conducting quarterly coaching sessions

  • Provide daily direction and support to Client Managers so that customer requests and policy renewals are handled in a timely, efficient, and knowledgeable manner

  • Manages PTO & Flex Time Requests, tracking, and approval within HUB systems to ensure appropriate coverage within Pillar

  • Assist with recruiting and onboarding new Client Managers within the assigned Pillar

  • Collaborate with Client Specialist Supervisor with team member feedback related to training and advancement of the CS team

  • Establishes relationships with leadership team of our carrier partners, focusing on top carriers within assigned Pillar

  • Evaluate new & renewal business based on carrier appetite and completeness of submission information

Client Manager Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with assigned clients, serving as primary contact for all insurance questions and policy changes

  • Attend and participate in carrier and client meetings

  • Take primary responsibility for policy expiration management and client renewal processes

  • Owns the renewal marketing process and develops marketing strategy for assigned renewal business

  • Performs periodic coverage and risk reviews to ensure the adequacy of every clients insurance program, as well as contract reviews as requested by clients

  • Support Advisors through marketing new prospective clients, communicating with carrier underwriters on the risk profile, determining where the best fit for the prospective client is and providing proposals

  • Complete policy application details for newly bound policies into Epic

  • Handle communications and correspondences from HUB associates, clients and carriers and work diligently to answer questions or resolve issues

  • Agency billing including new business, renewal, and endorsement invoicing

  • Assist with claim reporting and follow up as needed

  • Support and adhere to agency goals and objectives

  • Perform all other duties as assigned by Director of Operations

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Four years progressively responsible experience in an independent (Personal/Commercial) lines insurance agency required OR similar years of related work experience dealing directly with (Personal/Commercial) insurance coverages

  • Ohio Property and Casualty license is required

  • Professional designations are preferred

  • College degree preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is required

  • Knowledge of Personal/Commercial insurance and products

  • Strong understanding and comfort using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Existing knowledge of Applied Epic is preferred

  • Superior leadership, collaboration and communication skills and a passion for people leadership/management

  • Strong customer service, organization and time management skills

  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
