XTGlobal, Inc. in Plano, TX is seeking Software Developer to design and develop highly available, scalable applications .

Job duties:

Create and maintain PL/SQL procedures, packages, functions, and triggers.

Develop complex database solutions to support business needs.

Analyze and translate requirements into technical specifications.

Ensure developed solutions meet business needs and comply with best practices.

Optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL code for maximum performance.

Perform database tuning and ensure efficient data retrieval and processing.

Support and/or install software applications.

Ensure smooth deployment and functionality of software applications across various environments.

Participate in the software testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing, and certification of software.

Ensure developed solutions are robust and reliable.

Provide consultation on complex, technical projects.

Leverage extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish project goals.

Act as a top-level contributor and specialist in database technologies.

Stay up-to-date with the latest PL/SQL and database technologies, tools, and trends.

Recommend improvements and enhancements to existing systems.

Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, user guides, and maintenance procedures.

Work closely with software developers, database administrators, and business analysts to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

Implement and promote coding standards, best practices, and security protocols for database development and management.

This position has no direct reports and no management discretion or authority.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, or any related IT or Engineering field of study, plus at least five (5) years of post-degree, progressively responsible experience in any related position(s) in which the requisite experience was gained.

Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable skill, knowledge, experience and proficiency in the following:

1. MS SQL Server

2. Oracle, PL/SQL, UNIX Shell Scripting, and Pro*C

3. Linux and Windows

4. Jira, SQL Developer, SQLPlus, and Toad

5. SQLLoader, and Visual Studio C++

6. Remedy, PVCS, SVN, and Autosys

5% domestic travel. Position is project-based on long-term assignments at various unanticipated worksites within the U.S., and relocation may be required at the end of each long-term project. Work from home benefit available depending on project requirements.
