LHH Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join one of our clients located in Richmond, CA. This position is 100% in-office. This role will support financial operations, including accounts payable processing, bookkeeping functions, and program-specific administrative accounting support. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to manage high-volume documentation, and a solid foundation in basic accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

Program Support

  • Retrieve and manage documentation through the Salesforce portal

  • Organize and maintain files within internal server systems in accordance with established protocols

  • Prepare and process documentation related to payments

  • Assist with ACH and wire payment processing, including data entry and documentation support

  • Maintain accurate records of payment confirmations and supporting files

  • Scan, upload, and organize vendor invoices and payment documentation

  • Maintain organized digital and hardcopy files for audit and compliance purposes

Accounts Payable

  • Accurately enter and record vendor invoices in the accounting system

  • Prepare payment batches (check, ACH, wire) for approval

  • Ensure all required documentation is complete prior to payment submission

  • Maintain vendor records and assist with basic vendor inquiries

  • Support ongoing AP processes to ensure timely and accurate payments

General Bookkeeping

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with company policies

  • Perform reconciliations, including bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts

  • Assist with month-end close activities, including schedules and supporting documentation

  • Ensure proper documentation and audit trails for all transactions

  • Adhere to internal controls, including confidentiality and segregation of duties

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounts payable experience preferred

  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles

  • Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel

  • Experience with document management systems or Salesforce is a plus

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
