What you'll be doing...
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Product Manager to lead the development and launch of innovative software solutions for Verizon Connect operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical acumen, business understanding, and leadership skills. This role requires a visionary who can define product strategy, guide product development from conception to launch, and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Verizon Connect Operations.
Conduct research, analysis, and end user feedback analysis to identify product opportunities and user needs.
Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and user stories for engineering teams.
Prioritize product features and enhancements based on business value, technical feasibility, and customer impact.
Collaborate closely with the business stakeholders, architecture, engineering and design throughout the product lifecycle.
Manage product backlogs, sprint planning, and release management.
Monitor product performance metrics and identify areas for improvement and growth.
Act as a product evangelist, both internally and externally.
Mentor and guide product owners.
Support the Product (PA) team in complimentary tasks that contribute to the success of the team.
People manager of a product team in your operational area of Verizon connect, developing a high performing team of product focus practitioners.
Please note this is a hybrid role requiring the ability to commute to the posted locations.
What we're looking for...
You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

Proven track record of successfully launching and managing software products.
Strong proficiency in Product practices, requirements gathering, user research, solution design. Implementation planning and success metrics management.
Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
Proficiency in product management tools (e.g., Jira)
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Experience in Verizon Connect and/or the telematics industry.
Familiarity with Salesforce.
Integration of supporting AI tools into product practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.

Where you'll be working
In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager. Employees are responsible for maintaining compliance with hybrid work policies.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
The annual salary range for the Illinois location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $132,500.00 - $231,000.00.
