In this fast-paced role, the Senior PIP Claim Representative adjusts first-party Personal Injury Protection claims in accordance with state compliance requirements, regulations, and company guidelines.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Handle lower- to moderate-severity Personal Injury Protection claims across multiple states
- Receive approximately 35 first reports per day, with a focus on timely patient contact, customer service, and accurate claim disposition
- Perform daily duties including first reports, ImageRight tasks, medical bill review, treatment monitoring, reserve analysis, and coordination with nursing staff
- Maintain an effective follow-up system on pending files while prioritizing and managing multiple tasks in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment
- Provide timely updates to injured parties regarding claim status and disposition
- Investigate and interpret policy provisions and conditions to make appropriate coverage determinations
- Apply functional knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy, along with a thorough understanding of Personal Injury Protection claim handling and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrate strong multitasking and decision-making skills in time-sensitive situations
- Ensure service quality, loss control, and expense management standards are consistently met
- Adhere to all privacy guidelines, laws, and regulations related to claims handling
- Collaborate effectively within a small team environment while maintaining strong customer service standards
- Prior claims experience preferred; Personal Injury Protection (PIP) experience strongly preferred
- Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university is a plus
- Recent college graduates with relevant coursework or internship experience are encouraged to apply
- Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Salary Range: $68,000 -$95,000 a year. Actual compensation will vary based on multiple factors, including employee knowledge and experience, role scope, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
