Job Title: Junior Accountant

Location: Pasadena, CA (Onsite)

Pay Range: $28.00-$31.25 per hour

Position Overview:

A mission-driven non-profit organization in Pasadena is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join their team on a temporary basis. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations and assist with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with general ledger maintenance and journal entries
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Process accounts payable and assist with accounts receivable as needed
  • Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP
  • Assist with preparation of financial reports and schedules
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and non-profit accounting standards
  • Provide support during audits and special projects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 1+ year of accounting experience (internships welcome)
  • Basic knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles
  • Experience with Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs a plus)
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

Pay Details: $28.00 to $31.25 per hour
