Temp Sr Accountant

Well-established company seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to support a fast-paced and high-growth accounting environment. This role will be heavily involved in general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, audit support, and process improvement initiatives while also serving as a resource and mentor to junior accounting staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and ensure accuracy of general ledger accounts and financial transactions in accordance with GAAP
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
  • Reconcile asset, liability, and capital accounts on a monthly basis
  • Assist with month-end close, financial reporting, and preparation of recurring accounting reports
  • Support property tax, sales/use tax, and other compliance-related filings
  • Assist with internal and external audits including preparation of schedules and supporting documentation
  • Identify process improvements and support evolving accounting procedures within a growing organization
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal departments to resolve accounting issues and improve reporting accuracy
  • Guide and support junior accounting staff as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 5+ years of accounting experience including GL accounting, reconciliations, AP/AR, and financial reporting
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required
  • Experience within high-volume or fast-paced accounting environments preferred
  • Public accounting, regional firm, or CPA background is a plus
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Pay Details: $45.00 to $50.00 per hour
