Job Overview

Skipton Claims Management, a premier, family-owned public insurance adjusting firm established in 1992, is seeking a high-performing Outside Sales Representative to lead our business development and client acquisition efforts in the Washington market and surrounding areas including Idaho.

In this role, you will act as a vital advocate for commercial property owners, HOAs, and homeowners during their most critical times of need. When disaster strikes (including major wind, hail, tornado, and water events), you will step in to protect policyholders from the complex games insurance companies play. Backed by an industry-leading inside lead-generation team and a centralized support infrastructure, you will engage qualified prospects, present our elite claims management services, and secure contracts for representation.

Key Responsibilities

Client Acquisition & Sales

Direct Outreach & Presentation: Actively contact property owners, commercial asset managers, and HOA board members affected by major loss events to present Skiptons specialized property claim services.
Contract Closing: Successfully navigate consultations to secure signed representation contracts, turning stressed property owners into fully protected clients.
Pipeline Management: Efficiently manage daily follow-up calls, schedule face-to-face or virtual consultation appointments, and maintain precise email and written communication.
Lead Generation & Market Penetration
Warm Lead Execution: Seamlessly capitalize on 35 high-quality leads per day provided directly by our dedicated inside lead-generation team.
Strategic Networking: Utilize your localized knowledge and networking efforts across the SEATTLE metroplex to source additional high-value commercial and residential leads.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with our centralized research team to quickly identify property ownership, structural data, and key decision-maker contact information.

Client Advocacy & Professionalism

Brand Ambassadorship: Represent Skiptons core values of tenacity, integrity, and absolute professionalism in the field.
Smooth Hand-off: Educate clients transparently on how our in-house squad of experts (including building consultants, engineers, policy experts, and forensic accountants) will aggressively document and negotiate their claim.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience & Education
Proven Sales Track Record: 2+ years of successful experience in outside sales, business-to-business (B2B) sales, public adjusting, or restoration/roofing sales.
Industry Knowledge (Preferred): Familiarity with property insurance policies, first-party property claims, or the SEATTLE commercial real estate/construction market is highly advantageous.
License Requirement: Must hold or be willing to obtain a Washington Public Adjuster License (Skipton supports ongoing formal insurance education).

High Emotional Intelligence: Ability to communicate empathetically yet confidently with individuals who have just experienced major property damage or catastrophic financial risk.
Self-Driven Discipline: Excellent time-management skills required to efficiently cover a large, dynamic metropolitan territory.
