SR. COST ACCOUNTANT HYBRID | ONSITE AT JOSTENS MINNEAPOLIS HEADQUARTERS 3 DAYS/WEEK ABOUT YOU: You are a detail-oriented finance professional who have experience supporting manufacturing plants and enjoys turning data into actionable insights. As a Senior Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting manufacturing accounting, inventory valuation, and internal controls at the Montreal facility while also supporting enterprise-wide jewelry materials transaction flow and forecasting activities. You will partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Leadership teams to provide accurate costing analysis, financial insights, and reporting that support strategic and operational decision-making. YOU WILL:
- Manage cost accounting processes. Develop and maintain cost accounting systems, journal entries, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure inventory accuracy. Support physical inventory processes and reconcile inventory balances.
- Analyze cost variances. Prepare and evaluate material, labor, and overhead variances to identify performance drivers.
- Support plant performance reporting. Partner with plant leadership to provide clear and actionable financial insights.
- Contribute to planning and forecasting. Participate in annual planning processes and analyze actuals versus forecast.
- Improve financial reporting efficiency . Support month-end close activities and identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes.
- Collaborate with functional leaders. Work with operations and department leaders to improve understanding of financial results and support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Support ad-hoc financial initiatives. Lead or contribute to special projects and reporting requests for leadership.

- Education. Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance. Preferred CPA or CMA certification.
- Cost Accounting Experience. 5+ years of experience in manufacturing cost accounting or related finance roles.
- Accounting Knowledge. Strong understanding of US GAAP and/or IFRS.
- Manufacturing Finance Expertise. Experience with production costing, modeling, and plant operations.
- Technical Proficiency. Advanced skills in Excel, Access, and financial modeling tools.
- Analytical Strength. Ability to analyze complex data and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Project Execution Skills. Ability to plan, organize, and complete projects while meeting deadlines.
- Communication Skills. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities across all levels of the organization.
