Job Summary

A respected legal services firm in Orlando, FL is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join its litigation team in a direct hire role. This opportunity is ideal for an independent, detail-oriented, and motivated attorney with strong litigation experience and an interest in product liability, production defect, and liability defense matters.

The Litigation Attorney will play an active role in preparing cases for trial, managing litigation strategy, taking and defending depositions, arguing hearings, and communicating directly with clients. Key Responsibilities

- Handle litigation matters involving product liability, production defect, and general liability defense.
- Take and defend depositions, argue motions and hearings, and participate in all phases of litigation.
- Investigate claims, develop defense strategies, review evidence, and prepare cases for trial.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, reports, and client communications.
- Interact with clients, provide case updates, and prepare clear reporting on litigation status and strategy.
- Collaborate with partners, shareholders, associates, and support staff in a team-oriented legal environment.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $100,000 to $150,000 per year, depending on experience.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage litigation matters from investigation through case preparation and trial readiness.
- Take and defend depositions, argue hearings, and prepare motions and case materials.
- Defend liability matters and communicate effectively with clients throughout the litigation process.
- Draft high-quality legal documents, reports, pleadings, and written analysis.

- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Florida.
- 4 to 10+ years of litigation experience preferred, with 3 to 5+ years considered based on background.
- Strong working knowledge of investigating and defending liability matters.
- Experience preparing cases for trial.
- Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and exceptional work ethic.
- Professional communication skills with the ability to report to and interact with clients.
- Willingness and ability to work primarily in-office in Orlando, FL.
- Ability to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

- Product liability litigation experience.
- Production defect litigation experience.
- Trial experience.
- Strong academic credentials, including graduation from a highly regarded law school and top academic performance.
- Experience in defense litigation or insurance defense matters.
- Prior experience managing significant case responsibility with limited supervision.
