Aquent is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the fiscal operations and budget planning teams for a premier medical facility client. In this consulting capacity, you will perform a wide variety of regular and recurring moderately complex financial analyses, budget evaluations, and core fiscal functions requiring full professional competency.

Operating under general supervision and following established institutional policies, you will act as a key operational resourceidentifying adverse trends, managing business cycle transactions, and translating complex financial data into actionable, simple terms for non-finance healthcare stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Budget Support & Analysis: Assist in the preparation of the facilitys operational budget; thoroughly review, analyze, and process departmental budget requests.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist with the analysis and preparation of various financial reports for both internal leadership use and as required by external regulatory agencies.
  • Expenditure Monitoring: Monitor budget expenditures and prepare detailed written reports and analyses for management outlining operational progress, structural variances, adverse trends, and appropriate recommendations.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Serve as a core point of contact for customers, external vendors, and internal departments regarding end-to-end business cycle transactions.
  • Variance Resolution: Maintain close liaison with departmental business managers and medical administrative staff to assist in the preparation of financial reports, provide variance information, and actively resolve problems concerning deviations from approved budgets.
  • Transaction Processing & Reconciliation: Prepare, process, and distribute financial transactions and analyses for assigned healthcare departments and business cycles. Routinely reconcile accounts and assist in transactional issue resolution.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Analytical Problem Solving: Proven ability to analyze information, troubleshoot transactional bottlenecks, and develop creative solutions to complex financial problems.
  • Data-Driven Judgment: Ability to evaluate volatile financial data, apply sound professional judgment, reach valid conclusions, and make informed strategic recommendations.
  • Strategic Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex financial concepts in a simple, digestible form to non-finance users, ensuring healthcare teams understand the appropriate use and limits of provided fiscal data.
  • Adaptability: Comfort managing recurring standard cycles alongside non-routine problems, knowing when to escalate complex issues to higher leadership.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a closely related work-related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience: Professional competency in corporate financial analysis, budgeting, and reconciliation pipelines (healthcare or hospital operations experience is a strong plus).

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $70 to $75 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
