The Executive Benefits Analyst is responsible for combining technical analysis, client servicing, and business development responsibilities. This position is responsible for preparing and interpreting insurance illustrations, supporting client income distribution strategies, and leading annual policy reviews, while also contributing to client retention and revenue growth through consultative engagement and production. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities, deep knowledge of life insurance-based executive benefit strategies, and the ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable client recommendations.
Essential functions:
Develop, analyze, and present insurance illustrations (primarily life insurance products including indexed universal life, variable universal life, and whole life)
Model funding strategies and demonstrate policy performance under various scenarios
Partner with advisors, consultants, and producers to structure executive benefit solutions such as:
Deferred compensation plans
Split-dollar arrangements
Ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with carrier assumptions and industry standards
Design and monitor client income distribution strategies from insurance-based solutions
Illustrate and track policy loans, withdrawals, and income streams to meet client objectives
Conduct stress-testing of in-force policies to assess sustainability under changing interest rates and crediting assumptions
Collaborate with clients and internal advisors to adjust strategies as needed to optimize outcomes
Lead and/or support comprehensive annual policy reviews for executive benefit clients
Evaluate in-force policy performance vs. original projections and identify necessary adjustments
Prepare client-friendly reports summarizing key findings, risks, and recommendations
Maintain proactive communication with clients to ensure understanding and confidence in their plans
Actively support business development efforts by contributing technical expertise in prospect meetings and proposal development
Identify opportunities to enhance or expand client relationships through additional insurance strategies
Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, internal teams, and external partners
Assist in transitioning prospects into clients through consultative selling and solution design
Ensure all illustrations, recommendations, and communications adhere to regulatory and firm compliance standards
Maintain accurate records of client interactions, analysis, and recommendations
Stay current on industry trends, product changes, and regulatory developments impacting executive benefits
Job Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
37+ years of experience in:
Life insurance analysis or advanced markets
Executive benefits or non-qualified plan design
Financial planning or wealth management (preferred)
Fast-paced and deadline-driven, particularly during annual review cycles and new business case development.
Handles sensitive executive and financial information; must maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to data privacy and compliance standards.
