Associate Attorney

Our Client is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney with 5+ years of litigation experience to join our growing insurance defense practice in Madison, Mississippi. Client is an insurance defense law firm delivering strategic, results-driven representation backed by more than 22 years of experience.

Responsibilities:

• The firm focuses on special investigations, first-party coverage matters, general liability defense, and subrogation, providing insurers with practical legal solutions grounded in deep industry knowledge.

• With rare certification in insurance fraud investigation, client brings a distinctive advantage to complex and high-risk matters, combining legal advocacy with investigative insight to identify exposure, mitigate risk, and protect client interests.

• We are seeking a motivated attorney who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment, exercises sound judgment, and values professionalism, responsiveness, and strong client relationships.

• Manage insurance defense litigation matters from inception through resolution

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and coverage-related correspondence

• Conduct depositions, hearings, mediations, and court appearances

• Analyze complex claims and develop strategic case evaluations

• Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and experts

• Collaborate with firm leadership on litigation strategy and case management

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school

• Active license to practice law in Mississippi

• 5+ years of litigation experience preferred

• Insurance defense experience strongly preferred

• Alabama licensure is a plus

• Experience handling coverage matters, general liability, or SIU-related investigations is a plus

• Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills

• Ability to manage files independently and efficiently
