Claims Manager Job Description The Claims Manager will centralize and oversee all claims activity across the organization in a newly created role driven by significant growth and increasing claim volume. This position serves as the primary point of contact for claims management, ensuring that workers' compensation and auto claims are accurately documented, effectively communicated, and efficiently resolved. Over time, the role will also gain exposure to general liability and other claim types, with a strong focus on reducing risk and preventing claims from falling through the cracks. Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for all claims-related matters across the organization. Centralize and manage workers' compensation and auto claims to ensure consistent handling and resolution. Support the documentation, communication, and resolution of general liability and other claim types as exposure increases over time. Ensure all claims are properly documented with complete and accurate information at each stage of the process. Coordinate and communicate regularly with operations teams to gather incident details and support timely claim reporting. Work closely with insurance carriers and adjusters to facilitate efficient claims processing and resolution. Track claim status, follow up proactively on open items, and help prevent claims from being delayed or overlooked. Identify and escalate potential risks or issues related to claims to appropriate internal stakeholders. Help reduce organizational risk by promoting consistent claim management practices and process improvements. Operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining strong organization and follow-through on all claim files. Essential Skills Experience managing or coordinating workers' compensation claims. Experience managing or coordinating auto claims. Experience managing or coordinating general liability claims. Proven ability to work cross-functionally with operations teams. Proven ability to collaborate with insurance carriers and adjusters. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple claims and deadlines simultaneously. Strong follow-up skills to ensure timely progression and closure of claims. Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with limited oversight. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in a construction, civil, or field-based environment is highly preferred. Ability to build and maintain strong, relationship-driven working partnerships across the organization. Interest in contributing to process-oriented improvements in claims management as the company continues to scale. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Raleigh, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $150000.00/yr. We offer competitive salary, paid time off, medical/dental/vision benefits, and a matching 401K retirement plan.
