If you are looking for a career in the insurance industry in a fast-paced, ever-expanding company, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Ops Team in our Atlanta, GA office location. Work Status: Hybrid (three days in the office) This is a hybrid position with 3 days in the Alpharetta office and 2 days WFH. Shift time to be determined and sometimes ranges between 7am - 5pm EST. Position Overview The Operations Associate processes business inquiries for Underwriting review, enters client information into databases and maintains electronic filing records. Process bound applications, including the review and issuing of policies on behalf of our Underwriting Department. Process loss run requests for existing policyholders and/or brokers/agents. Performance Objectives Identify and process new and renewal applications for underwriting review. Enter client and policy data into computer systems/applications/databases. Issue insurance policies and review to validate terms, limits, premiums, and other detail. Prioritize daily workflow and produce a finished product that includes extreme detail. Achieve quality and production minimums - metric expectations to be reviewed during onboarding. Review data for inconsistencies and initiate and follow through to retrieve missing information. Identify discrepancies and work to provide resolution and apply solutions. Create and maintain correspondence and other records within our electronic filing system. Effectively and professionally communicate with internal and external clients in person, by mail, email, phone, and/or electronic systems. Compose business correspondence on behalf of supervisors, managers, and other organizational professionals. Work to become an expert in the team's function; motivated to continue learning and growing. Consistently completes tasks in a fast, high-quality, detail-oriented and service-oriented manner. Close to 100% of the time is spent completing time-sensitive, production-based task work. May recommend/participate in system enhancement/process improvement discussions Position Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements : Education High School or GED Experience Minimum of 2 years of relevant and progressive office experience Other Excellent data entry skills. Possess and have the ability to apply basic knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures. Good written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy. Good organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with excellent follow-through skills, all while not jeopardizing quality or production. Believes in and finds value in a team-oriented approach. Has great attention to detail with the ability to detect discrepancies and variances in wording, grammar, spelling, and numbers. Flexible, handle competing demands, uses time efficiently, and prioritizes appropriately. Good judgment and problem-solving abilities. Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office applications. Comfortable and capable of meeting quality and production measurements.
