This position is responsible for researching issues as it relates to Flood loan compliance and conducting file review of Retail loans. This position works closely with the Retail Loan Documentation Manager, Retail File Review Supervisor, Retail Support, Compliance Officer and Lending Department Managers on documentation and compliance issues. Primary Duties Flood Insurance: Ensure flood insurance regulatory requirements are met for new and existing Retail loans. This includes review of the monthly flood notification report and processing any required changes, review of flood insurance policies, review and maintain all of retail ticklers, preparation and sending of customer correspondence related to flood insurance requirements, working closely with the lenders and Audit Department to ensure adequate flood insurance is maintained. Retail File Review: Conduct monthly audits of all Retail loans with flood insurance. Serve as primary backup to Retail File Review positions. Conduct file review of employee loans as directed. Monitor procedures, implement corrective actions and conduct any training issues as required pertaining to flood insurance audit findings. Support: Research and follow up of title work discrepancies Prepare and send Power of Attorney letters when required for new loans and renewals/modifications. Assist lenders with questions related to Flood Insurance requirements. Maintain a high level of confidentiality as it relates to employee performance. Participate in internal and external training to maintain knowledge of Bell Bank products, systems, and services, as well as any required Bell Bank compliance training. Adhere to all Bell Bank standards, policies and procedures as well as banking laws and regulations. Utilize problem solving skills, external and internal resources to resolve issues as efficiently as possible. Escalate complex problems to Team Manager or Retail Loan Administrator. Assist with special projects designated by the Team Manager or Retail Loan Administrator. Know by name and face as many customers and employees as possible, calling them by name as often as possible. Job Skills Required: Detail oriented, possessing good working knowledge of rules, regulations and policies relating to loan documentation acquired through two to three years of experience in loan documentation. Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and work independently. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with third party vendors, co-workers and customers. Ability to work well under pressure. Excellent analytical, decision-making and effective problem resolution skills. Proven ability to work productively and efficiently without direct supervision. Demonstrated ability to manage and multi-task in a high-volume work flow with multiple priorities, interruptions and possible short-term deadlines. Ability to be flexible in a dynamic and challenging environment characterized by sometimes changing priorities and react to those changes productively. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work well in a collaborative, cohesive and cooperative team environment. Competent in the use of personal computer systems, internet applications and email, and various windows-based software applications. Demonstrated acceptable personal financial responsibility.
