Reinsurance Accounting/Operations Consultant

Kforce has a client in NYC that is seeking a Reinsurance Accounting/Operations Consultant.

Responsibilities:

• Support reinsurance accounting and operations activities, including payments, reconciliations, and monthly close processes
• Assist with processing and tracking reinsurance transactions to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations
• Review reinsurance agreements and supporting documentation (facultative experience a plus)
• Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed
• Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencies
• Support various accounting and operational projects as assigned
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures* Experience in reinsurance accounting, insurance operations, or related field
• Knowledge of reinsurance concepts; Facultative experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret agreements and contracts
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Experience with reconciliations, payments, and month-end close support
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with external partners
• Proactive, self-starter mindset with a willingness to take on additional tasks
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Team-oriented with a collaborative approach and strong follow-through
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting or financial systems preferred
