Job Title: Technical Policy Specialist

Salary: $49-53/ per hour Key Responsibilities:

Interpret and understand complex technical policies related to cybersecurity, compliance, and IT operations

Author and maintain policies in Markdown (MD) format with a focus on machine readability and automation readiness

Convert Markdown documents into HTML for web-based publishing

Manage policy versioning, collaboration, and deployment workflows using GitHub

Collaborate with security engineering teams to deploy policies and configurations

Ensure policies are structured for compatibility with automation tools and security orchestration platforms

Align policy content with regulatory frameworks and operational requirements in collaboration with compliance and audit teams

Continuously improve policy documentation processes for clarity, accuracy, and usability

Support training and communication related to policy updates

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Proven experience in technical policy writing (cybersecurity or IT compliance preferred)

Strong proficiency in Markdown (MD) and converting MD to HTML

Hands-on experience with GitHub (version control, collaboration, deployment workflows)

Understanding of machine-readable policy formats and automation principles

Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST)

Excellent written communication skills

Preferred Skills:

Experience with scripting/automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python)

Knowledge of SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response) platforms

Familiarity with cloud security policies and controls

Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments
