Pricing Actuary (P&C - Personal Lines) Location: San Francisco Bay Area, CA / Austin, TX / Dallas, TX / Morristown, NJ (Hybrid) Relocation Support Available- This role is open to candidates willing to relocate to one of the listed hub locations. About the Role We are seeking an experienced Pricing Actuary to support pricing strategy and product analytics for a dynamic and evolving book of business. This individual will play a key role in scaling actuarial capabilities, developing pricing tools, and driving datainformed decisions. You'll join a small, highimpact pricing team with regular exposure to senior leadership and crossfunctional partners. This role is wellsuited for an actuary who enjoys applying foundational actuarial principles in innovative, forwardlooking ways within a fastpaced environment. What You'll Do Lead endtoend analysis and execution of statelevel rate changes and new program launches Partner closely with Underwriting and Product Management to influence decisions related to profitability and growth Perform actuarial indications and profitability studies to assess rate adequacy and identify opportunities Support loss cost model selection, calibration, scoring, and reporting Build and maintain raters and rate proposals using Python Enhance and expand the actuarial pricing toolkit and internal analytics tools Collaborate with stakeholders across underwriting, legal, finance, risk, reinsurance, and distribution to translate analytics into actionable outcomes Required Qualifications 5+ years of actuarial pricing experience in Homeowners or related P&C personal lines FCAS or ACAS designation Strong grounding in actuarial and insurance concepts including loss cost trends, rate indications, modeling, and reserving Professional experience using Python and SQL (or similar languages) for data analysis and manipulation Experience leveraging predictive model outputs in pricing decisions Strong business acumen with the ability to connect analysis to financial and strategic impact Excellent communication and project management skills Preferred Qualifications Deep homeowners pricing experience, including predictive and catastrophe modeling Experience designing and launching new insurance programs and rating plans Comfort working with Python packages and objectoriented code Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git) Awareness of industry trends in homeowners insurance and pricing ethics Compensation & Benefits The organization offers a competitive total rewards package, which may include: Relocation assistance for qualified candidates Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with employer support Short and longterm disability and life insurance Equity participation Flexible time off Paid parental leave Ongoing training and internal career growth opportunities Onsite perks for hybrid employees
