Position Overview:

Reporting to the Premium Audit Supervisor, the Premium Auditor will conduct insurance premium audits for Workers Compensation policies. This is a hybrid, 3 days in office position based in our Atlanta Office.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing for and corresponding with clients to set up audit appointments

  • Examining policyholder's records and gathering data to determine earned premium for risks are accurate

  • Verifying correct classes are being applied and in accordance with company procedures

  • Writing an effective description of operations

  • Preparing audit worksheet, communicating and explaining the results to stakeholders

  • Applying NCCI Basic Manual and independent state bureau rules and principles

  • Adhering to company standards and business ethics

  • Maintaining confidentiality

  • Attending court hearings, as needed, including testifying regarding audit findings

  • Reviewing claims activity on policies to ensure that employee coding is consistent and accurate

  • Discussing issues and problems with the insured to ensure understanding of the change in premium exposures and to maintain good customer relations

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of premium audit experience
  • High school diploma
  • Ability to work independently
  • Working knowledge of insurance and accounting principles
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Must be self-motivated, self-disciplined and exhibit a willingness to learn
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional demeanor
  • Ability to Travel with some overnight stay, including occasional out of state travel
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
