Role Description
This is a full-time position for a Commercial Property & Casualty Insurance Account Manager, located in Chalfont, PA. You will primarily be servicing the agency’s generalist book of business, roughly $2.5M in premium. You will manage the renewal process as well as convert call-in leads to sales; prepare and process certificates of insurance; upsell and cross-sell current customers; prepare endorsements and invoices as needed, along with other assigned tasks. You also will provide back-up to the Personal Lines Manager. LaPlaca Insurance offers a very close-knit culture with a work hard, play hard mentality.
The position manages renewal and sales activities, including: Communication with clients, prospects and underwriters; providing excellent customer service; handling sales inquiries; overseeing the purchasing process. Your will responsible for overall account management and ensuring client satisfaction.
Responsibilities include: Working with clients and prospects to obtain information; identifying exposures and working with underwriters to develop comprehensive and competitive coverage proposals; managing policy changes; understanding and reading insurance policies; explaining coverage questions; invoicing; and maintaining clear and current client records in AMS 360, as well as an excellent understanding of using AMS 360 for issuance certificates of insurance, auto ID cards, processing policies/endorsements, producing applications, etc.
This position will cultivate successful relationships with clients, vendors, and carriers to support the agency's excellent client retention.
Qualifications:
- Current P&C (Property and Casualty) License required.
- Experience in AMS360 or willingness to learn before onboarding.
- 3+ years commercial insurance experience in an independent agency setting.
- Effective Account Management skills.
- Personal Insurance experience, a plus.
- Strong organizational, communication, servicing and multitasking skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Chalfont, PA. Hybrid possible for right candidate.
Salary
Range $66,000-$72,000
