Brown & Brown is seeking a Property and Casualty Pr oducer to join our growing tea m in Salt Lake C ity, UT !

Reporting to an Office Leader or executive, individuals whose pr imary responsibilities are in the sales and renewal of business and defined as " pr oducer" by participation in the TOP GUN pr ogram.

How You Will Contribute:

  • Responsible for the development and successful acquisition of new business revenue from new and existing clients.

  • Participation in the pr esentation of our services at pr ospect meetings.

  • Bring new business pr ospects to closure.

  • Work closely with Leader to set and achieve sales goals; and with service tea m to ensure the delivery of services.

  • Pr ospect sectors or market areas by identifying business needs and pr oposing company pr oducts and services.

  • Obtain pr ospects and actively pursue and create interest by telephone calls, writing letters, or making personal visits.

  • Maintain currency and further develop expertise in declared sector or market area by networking and participating in pr ofessional development activities.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • A current Pr oducer of Pr operty and Casualty license in applicable state must be maintained .

Skills & Experience to Be Successful:

  • A minimum of 2-5 years' experience at an insurance brokerage pr ef erred. Additional insurance education is a plus.

  • Ability to actively generate pr ospects and set appointments for new client opportunities.

  • Energetic, highly motivated tea m player who has strong interpersonal communication skills to interact with current and pr ospective clients and markets.

  • Tea m player who is driven by the opportunities of the competitive marketplace and by being on a winning tea m .

  • flexibility to meet the needs of our clients through initiative and integrity.

  • This position may require routine or periodic travel which may require the team member to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle. If required, acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are requirements of this position .
