Brown & Brown is seeking a Finance & Operations Specialist to join our growing team in Portland, OR!

The Finance & Operations Specialist supports the region's finance business partners through accounting, finance, and operations functions. This position will work closely with our Centers of Excellence, Client Account Managers, and Finance Business Partners and will be primarily responsible for assisting with the day-to-day administrative accounting & finance function.

How You Will Contribute:

  • Supports monthly finance functions by generating reports and pulling data to monitor monthly activity.

  • Compiles and reviews data and reports for accuracy while ensuring procedure protocols are followed to support month-end and ad hoc finance functions.

  • Assists Finance Business Partners with preparing budgets and forecasts.

  • Corrects erroneous entries to uphold data integrity within our systems.

  • Acts as a liaison between the Center of Excellence (COE) and the Profit Center to help troubleshoot, make corrections, and answer questions.

  • Works closely with Finance Business Partner to support all finance functions and assist with projects as needed.

  • Develops and continues to learn accounting and financial principles, to strengthen core financial literacy concepts and skills.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent finance and accounting experience required .

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to travel 5% of the time; Travel may include but not limited to B&B offices and attending B&B training and events.
