Automotive Damage Appraiser

Herb Chambers Collision Center of Braintree is looking for an experience Auto Damage Appraiser to help the team succeed and grow to the next level. We are in a state-of-the-art Collision Repair Facility with the latest and greatest technology, and we need someone that provides our customers with the best experience possible!

Responsibilities:

• Utilizing multiple software systems and claims best practices, prepares itemized appraisals indicating costs of parts, paint and materials and labor necessary to restore damaged vehicles to their pre-damage condition.
• Submits appraisals and supplements to insurance claims personnel
• Provides technical advice on vehicle repair, parts costs, garage expertise and opinions on whether specific damage is related to a particular accident.
• Negotiates claims with Independent and Staff Adjusters.
• Provides exemplary customer service
• Communicates and provides updates and necessary information to customer throughout the repair process
• Inspects and follows vehicles during repair process and verifies work performed mirrors insurance paperwork.
• Assists with final quality inspection
• All other duties as assigned.

• Licensed Massachusetts Auto Damage Appraiser
• Must have working knowledge of automobile repair and collision process
• Must have working knowledge of Insurance Claim protocol
• Strong Customer Service skills
• Team Player Mentality
• Great Communication Skills
• Working knowledge of DRP claims processing a plus
• I-CAR and OEM certifications a plus
