is seeking a Cyber/Tech E&O Underwriter to join our growing team in Chicago, IL!

The Cyber/Tech E&O Underwriter is responsible for underwriting and developing a portfolio of primary and excess cyber liability and technology E&O business across various industries, working within established underwriting guidelines while taking an active part in the development and implementation of our underwriting strategy. This position offers significant learning and professional development opportunities in one of the fastest-growing segments of commercial insurance, with mentorship from seasoned professionals and the chance to be part of a collaborative, high-performing team in the wholesale marketplace.
How You Will Contribute:
Underwrite primary and excess cyber liability and technology E&O risks within authority and guidelines
Analyze cyber exposures across industries to assess risk, pricing, and coverage terms
Work with the Head of Cyber Underwriting to manage portfolio performance and strategy
Build and maintain broker relationships to drive ethical new business opportunities
Support business development through timely service and participation in industry events
Prepare compliant quotes and proposals with clear, accurate documentation
Learn from senior underwriters to support thoughtful, profitable underwriting decisions
Represent the company professionally at networking and cyber industry events
Monitor legal, regulatory, and claims trends to inform sound underwriting practices
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
Bachelor's degree in Business , Risk Management, Finance, or related field
Minimum 2-3 years of cyber liability/tech E&O underwriting experience in commercial insurance
Technology E&O underwriting experience (preferred)
Wholesale/specialty lines experience required
Strong understanding of cyber liability, underwriting principles, and the external market
Skilled in analyzing financial data and communicating insights effectively
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with underwriting systems (preferred)
Existing broker relationships (preferred); committed to ongoing relationship development
Organized, collaborative team player with a growth mindset and willingness to travel
Pay Range
$130k - $135k AnnualThe pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
