Bridge Specialty Group is seeking an Underwri ting Assistant to join our growing tea m in Char lotte, NC !

Under guidance of a supervisor or manager, the Underwriting Assistant's primary responsibilities service support for both the commercial and personals departments

How You Will Contribute:

• Pro vides administrative support to all departments. Maintains spreadsheets for items such as employee directory, carrier commission changes, and employee license compliance.

• Directs incoming calls or voicemails to ap pro priate party .

• Receives all mail and packages. Scans and distributes all incoming mail.

• Reviews and forwards all incoming checks to lockbox or return to sender.

• Reviews and creates tasks for items received in general email boxes.

• Pro cesses policies, endorsements, audits, notices and other tasks for all Underwriting/Sales Tea m s. Receives and pro cesses all urgent or missing policy and endorsement requests.

• Pro vides reports for policy renewals, invoice checklists and others as needed. Assists Underwriting/Sales tea m s with issuing non-renewals/conditional renewals as warranted by carrier guidelines.

• Assists with internal self-audits to ensure compliance with states, carriers and Brown & Brown.

• Performs additional duties as assigned by the office and Service Tea m Leaders.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Must acquire state pro perty and casualty agent licenses within 90 days of hire date

Skills & Experience to Be Successful:

• Minimum education required : High School diploma

• Pro f icient with MS Office Suite

• Exceptional telephone demeanor

• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
