Brown & Brown is seeking an Associate Account Manager to join our growing team in Troy, MI!
MAIN FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:
This position serves as the secondary service contact for the Account Manager & Producer. This position is primarily responsible for assistance with data entry, day to day servicing, contract reviews, eligibility, and production of materials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

Provide general assistance to assigned Account Managers
Help Account Managers prepare and review client paperwork, such as Renewal Questionnaires and Contracting/Renewal Paperwork
Report client enrollment adds, changes, and terminations to carriers/vendors within 5-business days of receipt, or by last day of qualified event window, whichever is soonest
Collect and review plan policies, contracts, certificates, plan documents, and SPDs, notifying Account Managers of any errors or inconsistencies
Maintain documents in benefits administration portals (i.e., Employee Navigator, BAM)
Call carriers and customers to help resolve service issues
Audit first billing statement after renewal to verify plans, rates, and enrollment
Ensure compliance with Insurance Operations (IO); notify Account Manager of anything they see that does not meet IO requirements, escalate to Team Leader if necessary
Print, assemble, and ship enrollment kits, proposals, and other documents as directed by Account Manager, Team Leader, and/or Producer
Ensure all applicable data is kept accurate and files maintained
Promote teamwork, positive attitude, and commitment to department/agency goals.
Follow agency guidelines, policies, and procedures
Other duties as assigned EB Team leader
This position does not advise, negotiate, or place insurance; this position does not confirm coverage to members or providers

REQUIRED:
High School diploma or equivalent
Bachelor's Degree
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Exceptional oral and written communication
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Must obtain state Life and Health Insurance Licenses within 90-days of employment
Prior employment or internship in an office setting
