Brown & Brown is seeking a Senior Claim Prof essional to join our growing te am in FT. Wayne, IN !
The Senior Claim Prof essional position will manage a caseload of mid-to-high severity, complex and litiga te d General Liability cases and is responsible for successfully managing the day-to-day activities from a claim's inception through conclusion. Our claim prof essionals serve as the primary liaison between American Specialty, the Insurance Carrier, the Insured and the Claimant. Liaison duties include managing effective and timely communication between all parties and maintaining an accura te , up-to-da te claim file documenting all required service-rela te d activities.
How You Will Contribu te :
Significant general liability coverage te chnical expertise .
Highly developed skills to accura te ly in te rpret complex coverages.
Formula te accura te coverage opinions and prepare coverage let te rs.
Conduct thorough investigations.
Calcula te injury/reserve evaluations.
Actively crea te and implement file stra te gies, management of litigation and appropria te resolution of claims.
At te ndance at mediations, arbitrations and settlement conferences.
Timely and accura te communication with all parties involved in the management/overview of files. This requires being an active and productive part of the te am work process.
Strong ability to in te rpret contracts for opportunities of risk transference.
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
Five or more years of advanced General Liability claim handling experience
Active Adjus te r licenses in required sta te s (or acquire licensure in all sta te s within six months of hire)
Analytical skills for coverage de te rmination
Prof iciency with Microsoft Outlook/Excel/Word programs and ability to adapt quickly to proprietary in te rnal programs
Strong writ te n and verbal communication skills
Maintain confidentiality
Ability to effectively work with and alongside people at all levels of the department and the Company
