J Harper Consulting (JHC) - Estimator / ReviewerJHCis looking for anEstimator, the Estimator will review proposals from contractors for accuracy and submit them to the Insurance carrier. Ideal candidates will be able to identify inconsistencies, errors, and omissions for various projects including but not limited to rebuilds, roof repairs, EMS, remediation, and mitigation.Responsibilities:Reviews construction contractor estimates and proposals.Check for accurate quotes on a variety of projects including but not limited to rebuild, roof repairs and replacements, emergency services- water mitigation, tarping, fire remediation, contents cleaning.Review estimates and pinpoint inconsistencies, errors, and omissions and provide feedback to the building and/or EMS contractor.Identify savings opportunities based on past construction experience.Implement and ensure company policies and procedures are always adhered to.Resolve complex customer situations while maintaining relationships with insurance partners and working with the operations team to manage insurance jobs.Partner with contractors and oversee the negotiation and estimates and supplements.Communicate with Insurance partners with a focus on claims and policies.Provide claim updates and establish rapport to maintain relationships for faster claims processing time.Develop estimates for fire and water restorations as well as land development projects.Address customer complaints.Resolve customer complaints in an equitable manner for all involved.Create reports on an as needed basis.Assist in operations projects that come up throughout the year.Requirements:2+ years experience handling residential and commercial property claims or construction estimating experience.Proficient with Xactimate estimating and developing accurate estimates in a timely manner.Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.Advanced skills in time management, problem-solving, and organization.Adhere to project deadlines and remain flexible in a changing environment.Experience in multiple roof systems (shingle, metal, tile , modified, etc.) preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, email, and the internet.Flexible availability in the event of catastrophic weather.Experience with Xactimate, IICRC, and HAAG Certifications preferred.All-Lines Adjuster License is a plus.
