SUMMARY:

We’re looking for a results-driven Controller to join our leadership team and take charge of financial operations across a portfolio of growing businesses. This is an ideal opportunity for a CPA who’s looking to make the leap from traditional accounting into a strategic, operational finance role with clear upward mobility. You’ll be instrumental in building out the financial infrastructure of the organization and play a critical role in the company’s growth journey — positioned to evolve into senior leadership in the near future.

This is a hands-on position with broad scope, from high-level financial strategy to daily accounting oversight. If you’re energized by entrepreneurship, thrive in fast-paced environments, and are ready to take ownership of complex financial systems, we want to hear from you.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all financial operations across multiple entities—including reporting, reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and cash flow forecasting.

  • Maintain general ledger accuracy, oversee accounts payable and receivable, and ensure all bookkeeping is complete, timely, and audit-ready.

  • Process payroll via QuickBooks, manage employee timesheets, and handle all compliance reporting (sales tax, workers’ comp, etc.).

  • Prepare monthly financial statements and project-specific reports. Conduct budget vs. actual reviews, and use insights to drive cost optimization.

  • Monitor financial outcomes of ongoing projects, flag variances, and provide analysis to support strategic decisions.

  • Identify inefficiencies in financial processes and develop solutions to streamline workflows and reduce risk.

  • Collaborate with project teams, handle client-facing financial communications, support contract generation, and guide day-to-day operational decisions.

  • Act as a key liaison for accounting matters with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5–7 years of experience—preferably including a foundation in public accounting followed by in-house operational finance exposure.

  • CPA Certification

  • Proven expertise with QuickBooks, knowledge of bookkeeping, able to handle multi-entity financials.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to roll up your sleeves—this is a growth-stage business, and your work will directly shape the future of the company.

  • Strong communication skills, interfacing with internal teams and external partners professionally

FUTURE GROWTH PATH:

This role is built for long-term advancement. As the company scales, this position will evolve into senior financial leadership, with responsibility over corporate finance strategy, investor relations, and cross-entity performance management.
