USAA is currently seeking a talented Anti-Money Laundering Detection Manager for our San Antonio, TX location.

As a Anti-Money Laundering Detection Manager for USAA, you will directly manage staff responsible for fraud prevention and detection. Protects the members' assets by minimizing fraud loss exposure and providing optimal customer service. Ensures employees have the information, resources, and authority to accomplish business objectives. Implements and executes business plans, drives and champions change, and provides feedback to upper management. Maintains expert knowledge of fraud processes and procedures. Maintains working knowledge of all enterprise monetary transaction processes.

Job duties:

  • Demonstrates strong leadership, motivational, and interpersonal skills and models these qualities to employees and other managers. Challenges the status quo and champions change by executing business plans to achieve objectives.
  • Maintains expert knowledge and manages the daily operations of the Fraud Analyst staff by providing ongoing coaching, guidance and training. Responsible for new employee selection, employee development, performance evaluation, corrective action and all management functions.
  • Coordinates contacts with law enforcement and Corporate Investigations on fraud cases.
  • Oversees and manages designated Fraud Prevention and Detection environments.
  • Represents the Fraud Management COE on various committees, complex projects, or initiatives.
  • Leads training sessions on Fraud Awareness and Processes.

Qualified candidates need to possess:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 5 + years financial investigations experience.
  • 1 year leadership experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools and applicable systems.

Preferred experience includes:

  • 8-10 years of investigating experience.
  • Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist.
  • Serves as AML Detection Manager to ensure the AML Detection team is functioning at a high level in identifying money laundering activities.

Qualifications:
