Allstate was founded in 1931 and became a publicly traded company in 1993.  Allstate Insurance Company has a exceptional career opportunity for a Staff Claim SIU Adjuster in Woodridge, IL.  In this role, you will be responsible for investigating 1st and 3rd party medical claims to detect and deter fraud through the resources provided by Allstate and within the guidelines of all States Department Of Insurance.  The individual will investigate potentially fraudulent claims to include taking recorded statements, communicating with state and local government/private agencies, explaining the claim process to the involved parties and determining coverage.  Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, and at least 6+ years of experience investigating 1st and 3rd party medical claims.  Prior SIU or Casualty claim experience preferred.  A background in large case management and Casualty knowledge are essential with 3 years Casualty experience.  Excellent verbal/written communication, negotiation and decision making skills are a must.   The individual needs to be well organized with good time management skills, must work well independently and be self motivated while being a team player.  Prior computer experience a must to include Excel, Access and Word.  Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.   Since this position requires some field work, candidates are required to have a valid driver's license and use of a working vehicle.
