Position Requirements This level of knowledge is generally acquired through a college degree or equivalent work experience. Requires a preferred minimum of 3 years experience related to auto damage appraisal. Experience creating auto damage appraisals with an emphasis on auto body repair and refinishing is a must. Additional experience related to the repair of mechanical, frame, suspension and other related automotive components are of added benefit. ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) and/or ICAR (Interindustry Conference on Automotive Industry Repair) certifications preferred. Experience creating computerized appraisals on approved software is required. Experience creating damage appraisals related to damage sustained by watercraft, motorcycles, heavy equipment, commercial vehicles and all other property types other than family auto or truck. Interpersonal skills must be adequate to effectively negotiate fair and equitable settlements of all amounts required to restore the damaged property to its pre-accident condition pursuant to all recognized industry and company standards. Excellent time management skills. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
