Description & Requirements: Successfule Internal Wholesale candidates for the National Sales Desk in Shelton, CT will: * Develop new business within the territory by calling identified reps and providing sales and marketing information* Maintain contact with reps and keep them up to date on products* Offer information, ideas and other material required in completing sales* Stay informed of business trends in the industry in order to be proactive in providing sales solutions* Work closely with External wholesalers, Marketing, Compliance, and Sales Management* Build relationships with Financial Professionals within Sales territory* Demonstrate Territory Management skills and have the ability to organize multiple priorities* Solid understanding of a business-to-business sales model* Strong self motivators * Maintain open communication with Wholesaler* Participate in an attractive compensation plan* Possess in-depth understanding of annuities industry and key competitors in the marketplaceAdditional Skills Required:* 2 - 4 years of Sales experience, preferably in financial services* Action oriented - dynamic self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit and drive.* Ability to 'sell' the product* Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience* Demonstrated knowledge of more complex annuity and industry-related concepts* Excellent telephone communication skills* Strong teamwork orientation* Strong customer focus* NASD Series 6 & 63 (preferred)* State Insurance license (preferred)Skills Developed:* NASD registration Series 6 and 63 obtained in specified timeframe* Resident state insurance license obtained in specified timeframe* Extensive Product knowledgeAny applicant selected for this position will be required to submit to an extensive background screening and a credit check.
