SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Services clients by responding to telephone calls, faxes, and letters.
  2. Provides information to producers as requested.
  3. Answers telephone calls from insured's requesting changes or information.
  4. Processes renewals, changes or proposals on existing and new accounts.
  5. Analyzes and prepares for delivery, processed policies, endorsements and audits.
  6. Addresses billing of changes, renewals, audits and other services.
  7. Markets prospective accounts, enters prospects into the computer system and submits applications, follows up on quotes and prepares presentations.
  8. Reviews accounts and prospects with producer.
  9. Answers requests from insurance companies.
  10. Amends accounting entries to agree with insurance company reports.
  11. When providing back-up, takes loss notices from insured's and prepares reports.
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  1. Good communication skills such as reading, writing and oral skills.
  2. Math and basic computation skills.
  3. Physical activities include, but are not limited to: talking, listening, reaching, fingering, grasping, walking, and sitting.

  2. Ability to communicate effectively to internal and external customers.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in business related field or equivalent training or a minimum of 6 months related work experience.
  • Prior customer service experience is preferred.
  • Appropriate licenses upon hiring/training, along with passing a Proficiency Assessment required.
  • Knowledge of insurance products, plan and programs in a customer service environment a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Ability to review, record and organize data from a variety of sources with no prescribed format is essential.
