This Home Office position has clear and distinct accountability of business results within the National Claim Department as well as assigned regional Profit Centers. Additionally, this position is responsible for management oversight of an assigned territory/region for the purpose of adhering to policy and procedure as well as achieving annual Divisional goals.  Performs oversight of regional claim activity within Profit Centers. Provides file guidance:Provides policy/procedural guidance to regional claim staff in order to maintain compliance with internal and federal rules and regulations.Audits and provides final claim approval on large/complex claims.Provides oversight toward the resolution of claim files. Attends arbitrations, mediations or trials as Home Office and/or Company Rep as necessary.Assure that claim-related expense goals, claim turnaround goals, etc… are achieved on an annual basis.Assures compliance of claims handling pursuant to all state, legal, statutory and regulatory bodies to comply with all company procedures and requirements.Advises regional supervisors/managers on cases and extends settlement authority as necessary after reviewing claim files. Assist in establishing and monitoring of default and case reserves. Assist in setting Divisional policy/procedure consistent with Crop Division goals and objectives.Attend and participate in regional annual (spring) adjuster training.Assist in the development of claim-related training materials.Act as liaison between Corporate Human Resources and regional Profit Centers on all adjuster-related issues (hiring/termination/salary and performance reviews, etc…). Responsible for performance, development and coaching of regional claim management staff. Assures that National Claim Department meets annual goals and objectives / performance targets. Performs other duties as assigned.Candidates must have Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.  Must have 8 or more years of related management experience, including 2 to 4 years of supervisory experience. Thorough knowledge of crop insurance coverages, investigative techniques and claim adjusting experience is required. Strong computer skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills are also required.   Must obtain management/leadership qualities, and possess the ability to provide training to applicable staff.
