Job Title: Claims Administrator Company: Takeda Pharmaceuticals Location: Chicago, IL Description: Title: Claims AdministratorLocation: IL-Home Office (Deerfield)OBJECTIVES: Within the Risk Management department, this position would be responsible for the day-to-day handling of Takeda's frequency-based, insurable claims. The position would steer the direction of claims to optimal financial resolution and reduce total claims frequency and severity by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.ACCOUNTABILITIES: * Oversee investigation, adjustment and settlement of auto liability, workers' compensation, general liability, employment practices, clinical trials and other frequency-based claims. * Work with third party administrator (TPA), insurance company, insurance broker and internal stakeholders to steer direction of claims to optimal financial resolution.* Maintain individual case reserves and work with outside actuarial services on quarterly category reserve updates.* Maintain day-to-day relationship with primary casualty TPA and insurers.* Coordinate TPA and insurance carrier audits, advise on best practices, and implement strategies for improvement of claims management process.* Coordinate with Sales Administration/Fleet to identify auto loss trends, develop loss control and mitigation mechanisms, and implement driver safety programs.* Partner with Human Resources to ensure benefit coordination (i.e. STD, LTD) and compliance with regulatory mandates (i.e. OSHA, FMLA).* Assist in gathering and formatting claims data for insurance underwriting submissions. * Review insurance proposals and policies to ensure adequate coverage for Takeda's claims reserves and claims management strategy.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: * Bachelor Degree or equivalency in 4 year business experience.* Communication - Ability to communicate ideas and data both verbally and written in persuasive and appropriate manner. * Risk Management - Understands the concepts of insurance, claims management, and risk mitigation.* Finance and Actuarial Science - Understands the process of claims financing, reserving, and underwriting.* Attention to Detail - Ability to analyze and prioritize tasks.* Company Policies, Procedures and Process Flows - Understands how work is done and the flow of business within Takeda.* Customer Services - Ability to work with many internal and external customers to obtain data and provide data regarding claims and other insurance-related issues.LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:* Associate in Risk Management (ARM) or Associate in Claims (AIC) desired.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Ability to drive or fly to various meetings/client sites; limited overnight.* Manual dexterity required to operate office equipment (i.e. computers, phones, etc.). * Carrying, handling and reaching for objects.* Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time while traveling.TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:* Willingness to travel to various meetings or client sites, including overnight trips.* Requires approximately 10% travel.Submit your resume and start a quality career with Takeda!We are an equal opportunity employer.www.tpna.comNo Phone Calls or Recruiters Please.
