The Sr Claims Adjuster AIX is responsible for providing expert claim handling in areas of coverage, investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution of serious and complex commercial lines Property and Casualty claims. Direct handling of Company's most serious or complex commercial lines Property and Casualty claims. Provide efficient, prompt, courteous service and communication to internal business partners and external customers, about investigation and resolution of Property claims. Establish and maintain appropriate and timely case reserves.Effective and efficient management of allocated loss adjustment expenses.Implement Company claim policies, procedures practices and standards for handling of claims. Prepare timely and informative management reports (Property and Liability Large Loss Reports) and claim file documentation.Bachelors degree from four-year college or university in business or one to three years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.5 -8 years in property and casualty insurance industry. Minimally 5 years of adjusting experience. Experience in adjusting complex business interruption losses, and proficiency in commercial property and liability coverage evaluation.Proficient in coverage analysis of commercial property policy forms and endorsements.Adept in the application of commercial property construction and estimating, evaluation of business personal property and stock losses including proper disposition of salvage and business interruption. Proficient in coverage analysis of commercial general liability, commercial automobile, and other types of casualty contracts. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers. Competent in Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.Competent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; ability to multi-task.
