Seeking candidate to conduct desk top and/or field investigations as a mortgage fraud auditor. Perform audits on all fraud or misrepresentation identified in origination documents. Position requires ability to locate and interview, take statements, conduct Internet research and work independently. This further requires to determine if the fraud was due to misrepresentations such as inflated income, employment, undisclosed properties, non-occupancy or fraudulent documents. Review loan application packages for accuracy.? Review (1003) against other documents within the file: to validate employment, verifications, income, assets, etc.? Identify underwriting/?data discrepancies and other diligence issues.? Verify and validate income, assets and liability documentation to support underwriting decision.? Calculate and verify income verification, tax returns, funds to close, deposits, gift funds, 401K, etc.? Must be internet savvy with strong research skills. In this role, you will examine policyholders' operations and financial records to ensure exposures (such as payroll, sales, fixed assets) are accurately calculated within strict insurance guidelines and communicate audit findings through detailed formal reports. You will be set up for success through our six month long on the job training program.
Responsibilities:
Perform examination of policyholders' accounting and financial records to insure accurate calculation of earned premium for smaller, less complex risks.
Insure that audited exposures (payroll, sales, fixed assets, etc.) are accurately calculated within strict insurance guidelines.
Communicate audit findings through detailed formal reports supported by audit workpapers.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with a graduation date between May 2009 and June 2010
Minimum 3.0 or higher GPA (depending on school)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.
Self-directed, well-organized, detail-oriented, with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to independently manage own performance a must as position works virtually. A valid driver's license is required for regular travel to customer locations.
