SUMMARY: Performs the essential duties of the position, which include verifying and maintaining insurance policies in accordance with agency procedures, quality and service standards.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Daily reviews and handles incoming mail requests and current suspense items, responding promptly and appropriately. Sets priorities and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities.• Review, verify and update policy details including insured’s name, address, coverages, limits and premiums on new policies, renewal policies and policy changes. • Mail new policies, renewal policies, policy changes and audits to insured’s with appropriate correspondence. • Coordinate with Account Managers and Account Executives the resolution of differences discovered on insurance policies & policy changes and agency management system. • Correspond with insured or agent to obtain information or inform them account status or changes.• Provides technical support to Account Managers as needed to benefit clients and to reach agency's strategic business goals.• Prepares insurance proposals, schedules certificates and other related items; verifies their accuracy. • Obtains and enters essential information to accurately quote requested lines of insurance. • Perform the essential duties of the Administrative Assistant/Receptionist as needed for breaks and absences.• Continuously maintains and updates agency management system electronic files thoroughly and accurately.• Creates and prints memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents when necessary.• Enters data in agency management system and other database programs.• Participates in preparation and distribution of marketing materials.• Keeps informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverages and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance.• Photocopying, filing and other clerical duties as assigned. Depending on experience this may be an entry level position for those who have limited or no insurance experience.
