Director-Insurance Application Architect Company: PricewaterhouseCoopers Location: Boston, MA Description: Property & Casualty claims application architecture design and implementation; document management and imaging design and implementation; telephony design and implementation, including Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) and Interactive Voice Response (IVR); vendor evaluation and selection for these technologies; integration of claims management solutions with policy administration systems, financial systems, and external service providers; Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) design and implementation.  Experience with leading claims solutions, such as Guidewire ClaimCenter is a plus.Candidate will be responsible for designing, estimating, and implementing claims application architectures, including integration between the claims systems and other client internal systems, as well as external service providers.  Candidate will be expected to lead teams of client and PwC personnel of 5-10 people.Years Experience Required:10+Education Required:Advanced degree requiredJob Requirements:Job Requirements: 10+ years of industry knowledge within Insurance Ability to develop IT solutions with that incorporate parallel project management, process improvement, and other business advisory initiativesExperience with analyzing performance metrics, risks, and controlsIn-depth experience in one or more of the following IT specialty areas with working knowledge in the remaining areas:Governance, Planning & ControlsBusiness Management Liaison / SLAsPerformance Measurement / ReportingEnterprise SystemsFacilities / Data Center ManagementService Delivery / Infrastructure ManagementProject Management and PrioritizationUser Support / Help DeskData Management / Data QualityOrganization AssessmentSourcing Management (legal and contract)Resilience (security / disaster recovery)]Excellent verbal and written communication skillsCreative problem-solving ability and a consultancy mindset
