Underwriter Assistant/Sales - Location: Dallas, TX Description: SALES / MARKETING - UNDERWRITER ASSISTANT The FRISCO, TEXAS branch of BASS UNDERWRITERS is currently seeking an UNDERWRITER ASSISTANT to provide support for our commercial property / casualty insurance underwriting team. This position is entry level and provides an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate interested in beginning an exciting career. Training is provided. Bass Underwriters is a rapidly growing insurance broker / managing general agent. We partner with independent agents in securing excess and surplus lines of commercial property and casualty insurance. The Underwriter Assistant position provides an outstanding opportunity to gain exposure to commercial lines by working closely with the underwriter to quote new and renewal business, cultivate relationships with agents, and develop new leads. This position offers the potential of moving into a broker role for the qualified individual. We are seeking a professional career driven individual who is eager to apply excellent sales & marketing and time management skills to contribute to the success of the team. Must be detail oriented with the ability to make independent decisions and follow protocol with an emphasis on quality. The primary responsibilities of this position include review applications, process endorsements, process renewals and other support activities. The ideal candidate will have worked with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; possess effective oral and written communication skills, have solid customer service skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
