Underwriting Assistant Job Duties / Accountabilities: Handles all aspects of customer service for quoting Specialty Construction new business accounts including Guaranteed Cost and Loss Sensitive. This includes rating and submission input which may include: Process work in Siebel, SNAQS and CLA Input all activities and manage workload in Siebel Sales Support Responsible for supporting the Underwriter in the sales acquisition process through a variety of services that may include account coordination, new business essential services, report ordering and data collection. Responsible for reviewing, preparing, rating and handling policies. Applies screening criteria in accordance with guidelines. Communicates with customers to obtain needed and required underwriting information and resolves problems. Rates and handles policies in accordance with established guidelines. Communicates with internal staff on program details and sold programs. Supports sales efforts and strategies. Workload / Desk Mgmt:Responsible for handling high volumes of transactions. Effectively balance quality, timeliness and productivity standards. Multi-task, prioritize and manage daily work activities. Organizes work so that others can easily determine what needs to done and effectively continue the work and respond to customers as needed. Maintains an effective pending / diary / follow-up system. Maintains a professional / organized work area. WHAT QUALIFICATIONS ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
