Appraiser - Insurance Company: Accurate Inspection Management Services Location: Norwalk, CT Description: Appraiser - Insurance Accurate Inspection Management (AIM) Services is a company which provides replacement cost appraisals and loss control evaluations to the insurance industry.  If you want the freedom to work from your home, and the opportunity to have your efforts directly rewarded with each paycheck, we encourage you to contact us for career opportunities.We are looking for individuals with a four-year college degree (or equivalent work experience), in addition to experience in construction, residential appraising, property claim appraisals, or a related field.  Additional training will be provided. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills and computer skills, be self-motivated and able to work independently.Details of position:Schedule appointment with homeowner. Drive to and conduct the high value survey. Inspectors must be able to take exterior measurements, create a computerized sketch of the property, and accurately calculate square footage of the dwelling. Take photographs of the home. Write up the survey from home using a Windows based PC. Determine an accurate replacement cost of the home. Document any unique construction and architectural features of the home. Identify underwriting concerns. Make recommendations on how to prevent future loss. Some basic requirements in order to qualify for the position are being able to measure complex homes from the exterior, flexible to travel within a specified territory, possession of a digital camera, high speed internet access, accessibility to a computer and must pass background check.
